Leaders Show Up

There are two ways to start the new year as a leader:
  1. Overwhelmed by what you can’t do
  2. Motivated by what you can do

The first way is easy to fall into.

The list is long. There are – and always will be – challenges and obstacles that come with leadership.
You’re in charge of managing change, but many people can be resistant to change.
The pressure to make the “right” decision for your team can feel heavy.

The second way requires resiliency.

Resiliency looks like intentionally focusing on opportunities in the midst of challenges or obstacles.
Resiliency looks like accepting, adapting, adjusting and continuing to move forward, again and again.
Resiliency looks like showing up for your people even when change is challenging.

Every new year brings changes – ones set by you internally and others set externally – that will impact your team.

Many will choose the first way and will get stuck in the overwhelm.

I challenge you to choose the second way and grow through resiliency because –

Leaders show up.
