Satisfaction: Fulfillment of one’s wishes, expectations, or needs.
In the workplace, having satisfied employees is a good thing.
Yet there is still something missing from making it great.
This one thing is what separates good employees, teams, and managers from outstanding ones.
That things is standards.
By following up satisfaction with standards you learn two very important things.
1st – How things are working currently.
2nd – How to raise the bar effectively.
Having happy employees is great. When left alone, it can be too comfortable and stifle growth. This is why raising the bar on your standards, and theirs, is essential.
Because happiness and satisfaction grow when supported with learning, applying, and achieving required high standards.
