??♀️What does it really mean?
?Think for a moment about the meaning you assign to words, events, and experiences.
Then think about how that meaning impacts what comes next.
So many leaders let the meaning one interaction dictate the rest of their interactions that day, month, year.
?They take compliments to their head.
?They take criticisms to their heart.
This is understandable and also avoidable.
?In fact, as a leader, you must avoid this tendency of human nature.
Because as a leader, if you have been in your position for a while, you know when one person compliments, the very next person may criticize.
?Yet if you assign too much meaning, especially on an emotional level, you can face some real up’s and down’s.
The goal is to remain level in your response and the meaning you assign to the waves of feedback you get.
?Because when you do this, you stay grounded in your mission, and grateful for your people.
?And this level of responsibility allows you to grow with each struggle and each success.
So today take a breath, acknowledge the positive and negatives of the day, the week, the month so far.
?Then go into the rest of your day, week, month, present and ready to seize the moment!
